Today was a bit of a sleep in (we did have school yesterday!) and we went to Stanley Park and the Vancouver Aquarium.
The Aquarium had Beluga Whales which were a complete HIT, Dolphins, seals, sea lions, .... it was very cool, and had a lot of information about the local area / wildlife in a really effective setting. The geographers / scientists (biologists??) loved it twice as much as everyone else, who loved it three times as much as a normal person. Who suggested the trip wouldn't be educational?
Walking along the sea wall of Stanley Park is listed as one of the Top 5 Views of Vancouver: we looked straight over to North Van (where yesterday's Lynn Canyon Park is situated) and the Mountains beyond. It truly was stunning. And the totem poles were COOL!
We had an evening of culture at the Vancouver Art Gallery: there are no pictures but Jordan said all you would have to do is dump a pile of dirt on your floor* and you would get the feeling of the place.
*contemporary canadian art (possibly the most talked about thing of the evening)
